UK University opens a £6,5 m biomass energy hub

The Northampton University has recently opened a new biomass energy facility: the £6,5m hub will produce over 1,000 tonnes fewer emissions than a conventional facility.

Once the heat and power engine has been installed, it is expected a reduction of emission would be around 2,200 tonnes (equates to removing 431 vehicles from the road).

The biomass energy facility is a very important project to protect the environment. There are many campaigns that exist for the same purpose that could benefit from further promotion to raise awareness.

In the Power Generation field PARCOL provides innovative products and solutions, including Solar, Biomass  and Waste to Heat Power Plants. For more information visit the website www.parcol.com.
